About the Project

Welcome to City Chic—a nearly full-home renovation in Alexandria, VA, designed for a vibrant, modern family living just outside Washington, D.C. This project blends sophisticated style with personalized function, capturing the energy of city life while offering thoughtful, livable design solutions throughout.

On the first floor, our clients envisioned a French bistro-inspired kitchen and entertaining space, where the homeowner (an avid home chef) could bring his passion to life. We reimagined the open-concept layout into a space that feels both stylish and intentional, with elevated finishes, refreshed cabinetry, and plenty of room for hosting. It's a true chef’s kitchen with an urban edge.

In the lower level, we transformed a cold and underused basement into a family-friendly lounge that’s now the most-loved spot in the house. Warm textures, layered lighting, and flexible
seating turned this once-forgotten area into the ultimate destination for movie nights, games, and casual hangouts. A refreshed basement bathroom ties into the design seamlessly, adding comfort and continuity.

On the top floor, we brought in a playful twist with a custom children’s craft and creativity room that is designed to inspire and evolve. With custom LEGO shelves that border the room,
framed whimsy artwork, and even a small workstation, this vibrant space reflects the imagination of the little one who use it daily. It’s thoughtful, fun, and uniquely his.

From top to bottom, this City Chic renovation celebrates the beauty of modern family life—designed with purpose, elevated with style.
