Hi, I’m Stacey—founder and principal designer of Two Navy Lane, a full-service interior design studio based in Culpeper, Virginia. For over 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping clients transform their homes into thoughtful, timeless spaces that reflect the lives they love.

But my journey to this work began long before I started sketching floor plans or selecting fabric swatches.

My very first job was at my grandmother’s equipment rental business—helping customers and cleaning the office. It wasn’t glamorous, but it taught me the value of hard work, the pride in doing a job well, and the importance of treating people with care.

Later, at Godiva Chocolatier, I experienced a different kind of service—one that focused on creating memorable, elevated experiences. We were taught to treat every client like the most important person in the room. That lesson stuck with me, and it continues to shape the way I serve my clients today.

Those early jobs may seem far removed from interior design, but they laid the foundation for everything I do at Two Navy Lane. With a degree in Interior Design from FIDM, NCIDQ certification, and a career that’s included high-profile projects like the Four Seasons and Mandalay Bay resorts in Las Vegas, as well as expansive private residences and government buildings, I bring both creative vision and a deep respect for process to every project.

But what matters most to me isn’t scale—it’s intention. At Two Navy Lane, we design homes that are tailored, timeless, and deeply personal. Great design isn’t just about how a space looks—it’s about how it feels and functions. It’s about listening closely, designing with purpose, and delivering with precision and care.

That mindset comes from my family. My grandmother led with heart and integrity. My dad taught me to stay curious, to think differently, and to always look for better ways to do things. And today, I’m grateful to walk this path with my husband, who’s been by my side every step of the way. We’ve been married nearly 19 years and are raising three amazing kids (ages 17, 12, and 11), along with our sweet golden retriever, Ellie.

When I’m not walking a job site or finalizing design plans, you’ll likely find me sailing with my family, scrapbooking, or enjoying dinner with my husband at one of our favorite local restaurants. The life we’ve built inspires my work every day—and so do the wonderful families I have the honor of designing for.
